Between Vernal Falls and Nevada Falls rages a cataract that might make any whitewater enthusiast drool. Fortunately, as it retains National Park protections this scene won't be tarnished by a rubber raft any time too soon. Despite being just steps off the world's busiest trail in Yosemite, it was only the sound of that alluring white water that pulled my wife and I off the trail to find this unforgettable river view.
